Nearly Perfect

It took a nearly perfect effort by Marcello Maio and Norbi Kiss to win Season 1A and Season 1B of iRacing’s NVIDIA Cup.  How nearly perfect?  In 175 laps of competition, Maio and Kiss led 174 laps. In case you’re wondering, Maio qualifies as the slacker of the two:  He spent one lap of Season 1A in second place after qualifying his Mazda MX-5 second fastest for the first and only time.  No matter, Maio quickly redressed that minor failing, went undefeated in seven races and was awarded an NVIDIA GTX 570 video card as champion of Season 1A.  Series sponsor NVIDIA also rewarded Kiss for his efforts in Season 1B with a pair of NVIDIA 3D glasses and an ASUS monitor.
