Abraham hospitalised for checks

Karel Abraham will stay in hospital for observation this evening after a violent crash at the start of the Aragon Grand Prix. The Czech rider, who had qualified an impressive eighth on his Cardion AB Ducati, was caught up in a first-corner incident at the Motorland circuit, and as he tumbled through the run-off area his head was struck by his bike's rear wheel. Complaining of a headache, he was taken to hospital for thorough medical checks.
